5 Vegan Toffee Recipes for People Having a Sweet Tooth

Toffee is a perfect treat when you are bored with chocolates. It is delicious, crunchy, and a friend in need. Nowadays, several alternatives to animal products are available in the market.

Not only this, but restaurants are also adding vegan dishes on their menu to meet customer demands. Today, vegan chocolates and toffees are gaining popularity due to their enhanced flavor and nutritional value.

1. Nut Free Buttercrunch Toffee

It is a yum holiday treat and would crave your hunger. To make this delicious toffee, you would need 1 cup organic cane sugar, 1/4th tsp salt, dairy-free chocolate chips, earth balance soy-free vegan butter spread, organic syrup, and water as required. Line a cookie sheet with foil. Take a saucepan and melt buttery spread, syrup, salt, and water.

Stir the mix constantly on a medium flame. Take a thermometer and put it into the pan to check the boiling temperature. Boil the mix till the temperature reaches 290C. Turn off the flame and put the mixture into the sheet. Sprinkle dairy-free chocolate over the toffee. Place it into the refrigerator and let it become firm. Break it into pieces and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

2. Sticky Toffee Pudding and Sticky Toffee Sauce

If you are allergic to gluten, then you shouldn’t miss this sticky toffee pudding. This recipe takes time, but it is worth trying. To make gluten-free flour, mix brown rice flour, buckwheat flour, oat flour, potato flour, tapioca flour, and white rice flour. Preheat the oven to 375F and line a tin with greaseproof paper. Take a saucepan and heat dates and milk for 3-4 minutes or until the dates become softened.

In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and coconut oil. Pour the batter into the tin and let it bake for 20-25 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare a sauce. Heat the pan and add coconut milk and sugar. Add salt and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes. Let it cool and store in a jar.

After the cake is baked, keep it aside and drizzle toffee sauce over it. Combine the cornflour and coconut milk in a pan. Add maple syrup and scraped vanilla pod. Stir well and let it cool. Pour it over toffee to enhance its taste.

3. Salted Dark Chocolate Almond Toffee

Mix two cups of vegan butter, water, salt, and sugar in a pan. Boil the mix over medium heat and stir it constantly. After removing the mix from heat, add 1tsbp vanilla extract. Spread the mixture on the baking sheet. Spread chocolate chips over the toffee and let it melt.

Now sprinkle sliced almonds over the chocolate and press them with a piece of parchment paper. Transfer the mix in a bowl for several hours. Let it get firm and break it into pieces.

4. Vegan Toffee Break

To make this treat, you would need toasted chopped almonds, vegan sugar, vanilla extract, vegan chocolate chips, water, and earth balance buttery spread. Line a sheet with parchment paper. Take a saucepan, and add vegan sugar, vanilla, water, and vegan butter. Heat the mix on medium flame until the butter is melted.

Stir it continuously or until the vegan butter is melted. Add caramel into the mix and then pour it to the pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips and almonds. Let it cool completely and make sure that it is hardened. Break it into pieces and store them into the refrigerator.

5. Matzo Toffee

It is dairy-free, kid-friendly, and a vegan treat loved by people of all ages. To make Matzo toffee, take brown sugar, vanilla extract, matzo crackers, vegan butter, and toasted coconut. Preheat the oven to 350C and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Spread matzo crackers on the sheet.

Take a saucepan and heat butter and sugar together. Stir it constantly for 3-5 minutes. Pour this mix into matzo and spread evenly. Bake it for 15-20 minutes. Let it cool and spread chocolate chips on it. Spread melted chocolate on it.

Top it with toasted coconut and nuts if needed. Cool it in the refrigerator for 40-45 minutes. Break it into pieces and eat.
