The study found that a plant-based diet was associated with a reduction in the risk of heart attacks and other diseases. Megu Baden, a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard’s Department of Nutrition, said,

“Our findings have important public health implications, suggesting that future nutrition policies to lower stroke risk should take the quality of food into consideration.”
